Who we help in Lake Jordan
- Buyers of lake homes, shoreline lots, and land near Lake Jordan.
- Sellers of lake houses, lots, and nearby acreage.
- Investors deciding whether to hold a lake house or a tract. This page does not project rent or taxes.
- People who want to build on a lake lot or a nearby parcel. Shoreline rules and septic come before a house plan.
Buying in Lake Jordan
Lake Jordan is an Alabama Power lake on the Coosa River, and it is a main area for this office, the same as Prattville, Millbrook, Clanton, Lake Mitchell, and the other towns on this list. Most of the lake is in Elmore County. Alabama Power also lists Chilton County and Coosa County. Deatsville reaches the western side. The Pine Level office is a short drive west.
A lake purchase is the parcel in front of you: which county it is in, how you reach it, and what Alabama Power allows on the shoreline. Docks, piers, seawalls, and similar work follow Alabama Power's shoreline rules. Read those before you buy. Lake Jordan is not Lake Martin. Company listings are on the listings page. We do not quote prices here.
Selling in Lake Jordan
Selling starts with that lot or house. Ask for a market analysis. We list with a named agent on MyState MLS. Sold prices are not published on this page.
When a house sale calls for a wood-infestation report, that report is a WIR (Wood Infestation Report). On a lot, buyers ask about shoreline rules, access, and septic. Tell us what you already know and we will walk the rest of the file with you.
Investing in Lake Jordan
Some buyers hold a lake house or nearby land. Loan terms, taxes, and any rules about renting are specific to the property and to you. Talk with your own lender and CPA. We are not those advisors, and this page is not a projection.
If you lease a house as a residence, The Irvine Group handles management on their site. A new house is Irvine Builders, a separate contract. If you are thinking about short stays, confirm the rules for that parcel before you buy for that use.
Building in Lake Jordan
Building at Lake Jordan means the county permit, often a septic system, a look at the flood zone, and Alabama Power's shoreline rules. Irvine Builders can plan a house on a lot you own or are buying. It is a separate company, AL Home Builders #26927, at irvinebuildersllc.com.
This page does not list build prices. Book a design consultation and say Lake Jordan, or call (334) 922-8883. We are not the lender. A construction loan is a lender's product.

What people ask us about Lake Jordan
- Who controls the shoreline? Alabama Power owns the reservoir. Docks, piers, seawalls, and other shoreline work fall under Alabama Power's shoreline rules. It also holds a flood easement 15 horizontal feet from the 252-foot line where it applies. Check these before you buy or build.
- Which county? Most lake lots are in Elmore County. Parcels toward the upper lake can be in Coosa or Chilton County. Check the parcel.
- Water level? Full pool is 252 feet above sea level. Alabama Power posts current levels on its Lake Jordan page.
- Sewer or septic? Much rural land here relies on septic. Alabama's health department says to check sewer availability first. If there is no sewer, the soil has to be tested before a septic permit can be issued. See "Build on your lot."
